Salt Lake City

A smooth arrival in Salt Lake City, our jumping-off point! We got our van, accomplished the task of jamming ourselves and our bags into it, and we will be on our way tomorrow, starting with a tour of locations marked on the Center for Land Use Interpretation's incomparable Land Use Database.

We also had a late, but delicious and welcome dinner at the Himalayan Kitchen, a recommendation from our rental-car agent who also happened to be a geologist.
